Celebrating Life...

We had the awesome opportunity to go see Paul Cardall in concert on Monday night and it was absolutely amazing! It was his first concert since he had his heart transplant and he was so grateful to be back performing again. He has such an incredible and inspiring story to tell and he is so very talented. I, of course was bawling like a baby through half of it, but I was so glad we went. It was truly a memorable night! You can read what he had to say about it and see some pics on his blog: http://mytricuspidatresia.blogspot.com/

It was so neat to look through his pictures in the slideshow that was rolling while he played his incredible music because he had his heart transplant at Primary Children's Hospital and we recognized so many faces and places in the pictures. Judd and I remembered seeing Paul's piano in the lobby and we actually saw him playing it a few times as we walked through the hospital to Cooper's room during his surgery last year. We had no idea who he was at the time but after the concert we both remembered seeing him and hearing his beautiful music. We also learned that Dr. Kaza was the surgeon that performed Paul's heart transplant and he is our surgeon too. He operated on Cooper last time and he will be doing his next surgery as well. That made us feel pretty good and we know that Cooper will be in good hands. Primary Children's Hospital is such an amazing place and we know that they will take great care of our little guy.
